Marches Credit Union
The common bond of Marches Credit Union Ltd. covers part of east Powys, including the towns of Knighton and Presteigne and smaller places such as Beguildy, New Radnor and Painscastle as well as covering Kington and some other parts of Herefordshire. This part of the common bond of Marches thus overlaps with the common bond of Red Kite Credit Union. Residents in this overlap area can choose to join either (or both) of these credit unions.

Red Kite Credit Union
The Red Kite Credit Union, whose registered name is Undeb Credyd y Barcud Coch Cyfyngedig, has come into being as a result of a merging of two existing credit unions in central Powys: Heart of Wales Credit Union Ltd and Builth and Llanwrtyd Credit Union Ltd, with an extension of the common bond area to the eastern Powys border with England. Part of the area is also covered by Marches Credit Union Ltd and residents in this overlap area can join either (or both) of the two credit unions.
